Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 3, 2026
1. Who we are
Cogentic, Inc. (“Cogentic,” “we,” “us”) is a software company based in San Francisco, California. This policy describes how we handle information in connection with our website, cogentichq.com (the “Site”). It does not cover the Cogentic software product itself, which runs entirely on customer infrastructure and is governed by the applicable customer agreement.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what the Site needs to function:
Information you provide. If you contact us, book a meeting, or submit a form, we receive the details you choose to share, such as your name, work email, company, and the content of your message.
Usage analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-focused service that collects aggregated, anonymized page-view data. It does not use cookies and does not track you across sites. We see counts and trends, not individuals.
Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel Inc.) processes standard request logs, including IP addresses, for security and operations, per its own privacy practices.
The Site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and loads no third-party advertising scripts.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to respond to your inquiries, schedule and hold meetings you request, operate and secure the Site, and understand aggregate interest in our product. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
4. Service providers
We rely on a small number of processors to run the Site: Vercel Inc. (hosting and analytics), our email provider, and, if you book a meeting, the scheduling service linked from the Site. Each processes data only to provide its service to us.
5. Data retention
Correspondence is retained for as long as needed to manage our relationship with you and to meet legal obligations, after which it is deleted. Aggregated analytics contain no personal information and may be retained indefinitely.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, including rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and, for visitors from the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, the GDPR. We honor such requests regardless of jurisdiction: email us and we will act on your request within 30 days. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights, and we do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.
7. Security
The Site is served exclusively over HTTPS with modern security headers, collects the minimum practical amount of data, and stores no customer datasets. Coordinated disclosure instructions for security researchers are published at /.well-known/security.txt.
8. Children
The Site is a business-to-business service and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
